For real; it’s literally giving color to an otherwise black and white world, similar to what I think, based on the advertising, the show will end up doing with Gene if he in returns to being Saul/Jimmy.Jorge wrote:More, more, more of this forever pleaseMs Harmless wrote: artistic close ups and finding the most complicated way possible to say the simplest things

it seems they plan to either discredit or leverage him with photos of the lookalike actor doing something shadyStickman wrote:yeah, all we know is that this judge will be the one presiding over the Sandpiper case.Jorge wrote:I don't think they've fully revealed it yet. The establishing shots in this show are something else; the shopping cart camera was a nice touch

I loved it but I hated it
Gotta see how they handle the aftermath but I can see how this answers the show's one big question

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
Breathtaking ending.
That said, I think this season has been a very minor step down from the incredibly high standard the show has set. It has a little too much of the feel of the early seasons versus the Breaking Bad stratosphere they reached in Season 5. A few too many plot conveniences.
As seemingly minor as this is, what keeps sticking in my mind is the loosely affixed duct tape on Nacho’s mouth a few episodes back. It didn’t look right. Just a little bit sloppy and emblematic of this season’s overall execution.
It’s still the best show on TV.

Gotta wait for the entire season to play out its arc before I can rank it properly, but right now I think it's up there with season 5 (largely because of the extra artsy-fartsiness Argo mentioned earlier)
In my recent rewatch I found that season 4 is where there's a noticeable dip; there's not a lot going on in Jimmy's story after Chuck's death, and it's also before the introduction of Lalo injects the cartel side of things with some life

Also of note in this episode: that intense Kim & Jimmy pre-coital make-out

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
This was such an evocative little touch

Lalo spent the season so far as a spectre haunting the main cast. He finally makes his apparition and is fittingly introduced with a little horror-movie imagery

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
It surprised me that Kim and Jimmy all but admitted to Howard that they did what he was accusing them of. Jimmy saying “you’ll land on your feet” was pretty close to an admission.
