Bands who do that kind of thing have to compensate by making their live show exciting in ways peripheral to the actual playing of instruments. And I'm not sure if Arcade Fire need more practise at that. Doesn't mean the actual songs aren't strong in themselves, and won't hold your attention on the record.
That's my feeling too. But, Winn didn't sound particularly great either - like really rusty.
Are the performances on Youtube yet? Haven't seen them.
yes, they are

It's between them and Sigur Ros, for me.
Maybe I am a faggot. I can't help but hear a faggot read this sentence.
Well, Jonsi is hot as hell, so yes in a way. I would go full fag for that guy.
Sigur Ros is a phenomenal band. Is there only one aesthetically pleasing male in the band? I'm not well versed in such matters.

That's the thing about attraction, you can't force it.

agreed... his vocals sounded very lazy on Afterlife, and pretty rusty for most of Reflektor

I thought he sounded awful but was hoping it was my TV and not being there in person.

I thought the TV mix was pretty awful in general. The instruments were way too low in the mix.

I think they were a bit rusty - they haven't really played live in 2 years. Give them some time and they'll work out any issues. I thought they sounded a bit rusty, but not bad. They're also attempting material completely unlike anything else they've ever done, and they premiered it on national TV. That's tough.

I like U2, i saw them live twice, great shows, great songs, some of their albums are masterpieces...yet Bono has become a joke. He is like a male Madonna...always trying to be hip, to be relevant, to appear where he thinks the young crowd is going to be, he seems so desperate for attention...working with guys like Will.i.am or Rhianna or those producers...just because they are successful chart-wise...

And that joke about him being inside the big head...lame.

Fucking Bono.
