That’s been my bother since the first ep Jorge.

She does say Ben Kenobi when Luke rescues her. So that suggests she knows him?

But looks like she’s meeting Vader next week. That opens up a can of worms. She knows Vader in the OT. Even gives him back talk when he takes over her ship.
Are we gonna see the genesis of that?

I hope not

In a New Hope she seems to not know "obi wan", but I feel like so far she only knows him in this show as "ben". Maybe that is how they will explain it?

Hey here's your weekly reminder that the Jedi were a weird space cult that took children from their families before they could even form solid memories of their parents. #PalpatineDidNothingWrong

Also, since nothing is accidental, what are the chances we get a series about Obi-Wan's brother at some point? Obi-Tew Kenobi?

Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

100% there will be a Young Leia series within the next 3 years, too.

Y'all are weird. I don't see any issue with any of this yet. Nothing has been retconned.

I'm not sure how much this is a problem with Episode 4. My 15yr old's memories of when he was 10 are there, but pretty foggy. I don't think she says anything in Ep4 that directly contradicts her having met him.

She's just formal. "You served my father." Not, "you rescued me."
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Nothing in that episode changed my opinion of the show. Cool ideas poorly executed. I hate the music and the whole thing continues to be shot like a network television show.

How often was your kid kidnapped and rescued by an old man?

You tend to remember those things.

I’m betting there’s a memory Wipe coming in.

But given the way he’s become so attached to her and sad about padme and anakins memory’s when talking to her who knows.

In North Carolina they call that "a Hill People Special" and it's more or less a rite of passage.

Does anything really even need to be cleared up? In ANH, she says:
General Kenobi. Years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars. Now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the Empire. I regret that I am unable to present my father's request to you in person, but my ship has fallen under attack, and I'm afraid my mission to bring you to Alderaan has failed. I have placed information vital to the survival of the Rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit. My father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this droid safely delivered to him on Alderaan. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.
One can easily read that as "you helped my father before, he's asking you again" as a matter of fact. She could still know him or have memory of him and her holo quote still be valid.

For example, the other day I got a text from someone: "Chris, you helped me once before hang some cabinets in the garage, I have some more to hang and I'd like your help again". Nothing in that text says "you are my son" or "I know you so can you help me" but it is easy to imply that the person knows or remembers me.

It was my dad.
