yeah. I remember Jeff talking about it during the avocado record...
What did he say?
I wonder if BoB hated that stuff on Vs. through Yield, but that was when the band wasn't listening to him.
Its also pretty dominant in Mirrorball....Jeff said in those avocado years they skipped those things because they wanted the listener to focus in the music...something along the idea of them releasing a focused type of album instead of a more garage-10 days- type of record, like Mirrorball.

I love Mirrorball by the way

I know what you're saying, but to use your word, what I liked about them was not that they were "featured" on those albums, but rather in the background adding some atmosphere to the songs.

Yeah but when I say the albums featured them, I just mean that they had them on  What I'm saying is, that background stuff was cool but the problem with S/T wasn't that it was missing it. It was that the songs weren't very good, mostly. So for Jeff to say that the album was missing background stuff because they wanted you to focus on the music is weird. The music was better on those albums with the background stuff, making his point irrelevant.

Yeah, that was a tearjerker. Sirens already means a lot to Gleason.

i think they wanted to have an album without the weird experimental stuff...and they decided to cut out those moments like i dont know..the intro of cant keep for example.
Their last two albums had that idea, of featuring just the music.
