Are we just revamping the old assault weapons ban? Congrats on banning certain features and models.elliseamos wrote:Also, that video is pretty stupid, Cricket. Though I'm sure you're super proud of it and believe it speaks for you since you continue to fail to speak for yourself.
1) No one here (that I remember) is calling for a ban on all guns. Even the headline cited specifically refers to assault weapons.
2) Then it gets itself confused by mentioning psyops/mk ultra which is evidence (in my opinion) of tyrannical government already existing. Which means a proliferation of guns isn't stopping American tyranny... you're number one reason for having them, Cricket.
3) I'm pretty sure it steals a family guy joke. Lazy.
4) It's transphobic
5) It then wonders why governments need guns too? Cool question.
6) It then lists only examples of gun bans (of which we're not calling for) that soon after led to despotism. Why not reference those examples that exist where that didn't happen?
7) SLIPPERY SLOPE! AAAAAAAaaaaahhhhhh!
Like I said. Stupid, Cricket. Be best!
To be "effective" you'd need to ban all semi automatic weapon. Is that what we are discussing?
Pump action (or bolt action?) non semiautomatic AR-15s exist.
So long as firearms are defined as they are currently, the modular types where the 'firearm' part is defined as some bit with the serial number, you can reconfigure them with the non serialized parts to whatever you like.
It's like banning Millennium Falcon Lego kits but allowing all the relevant bricks to be sold individually. You'd have to amend the NFA to redefine what a firearm is.
