TLJ set up a movie that Disney threw away. Of course, it didn't set up TROS.

I really liked where they were going.

Kylo vs. Rey
Dark side vs. Light side
Legacy Power vs. Force for All
All of that is still there in TROS.
Not that last one. You can be a Skywalker or a Palatine or your fodder in their battle for the force.

I get that you disagree, but I also know you know you're in the minority. It's not a weird take.

This movie is at a crossroads between comedy and drama, perhaps more so than any movie before it.

It is a weird take. There nothing on the text that says what you're saying.

Force for all is not true, but force for anyone is. Since not everyone is force sensitive, but you don’t need your family to be force sensitive to have it. We did not need TLJ to know this.

Also there is nothing wrong with having legacy, or parents with the force, so legacy vs anyone, makes no sense.

Many vital (and many powerful) characters in this saga are not Skywalkers or Palpatines, but it’s also a family saga. Ben being there from his generation was not enough, you needed something to balance it out. Rey being a Palpatine would not be my first choice, but in this context it’s better than the anyone route.

I don’t think it’s unusal that there are ways to measure such things. I’m sure the US government would find a way if it happened here. That’s not to say that the measuring would be accurate, even in Star Wars.

Double post, so let me just say that I’m glad we have SW. Even if TLJ does not sit right with me, there is so much new Star Wars to enjoy. The Kenobi series has been amazing so far.

This is an incredible film, made even more enjoyable by the tears of neckbeards who hate it.

Your regular reminder Disney don’t make Star Wars.
Lucasfilm does.
Disney just market it. They don’t impose any creative control.
Not on Star Wars not on marvel studios etc etc
