Do you think this would be a good wedding gift for my brother? https://dalstrong.com/collections/block ... -block-set
They do have a registry and this isn't in it, but I happen to know that they love cooking and only have one kinda crappy chef's knife
These knives are legit. I have two of the ones included in this set and really love them

He says I shouldn't get them anything because I'm already traveling the farthest + I'm officiating at the ceremony but I really wanna give them the knife set

Has a masculine look to them, so I would vote no, if it’s not on their list.

But they are made of 67-layered Damascus with a AUS-10V Japanese super steel core.

Fuck the list. They probably just don't know how dope 67-layered Damascus with a AUS-10V Japanese super steel core knives are. If they knew, they'd be on the list for sure.

If you get them this and they look at you funny, just tell them you got advice from the Knifin' around thread. That'll set them straight.

Re: Knifin' around: a thread about kitchen knives
It's a solid point but I definitely think my brother would take good care of them. He was a line cook for years and developed a love for cooking, and I think he'll really like them. He's also a scientist. This is an unrelated fact but I just wanted to mention itE.H.
