Saw RRR trending on twitter, so decided to give it a watch, and boy am I glad that I did. What a balls to the wall crazy movie, and it's just so, so good!

There’s a few movies from every year that I’ve never seen, but I’ve seen these four before. Only Before Sunset in the last five years, the others when they were fairly new. Looking forward to Collateral the most.

What will you do when you've seen all the movies?

If you are thinking about this run through the years, I often have some sort of movie-watching project going (recent ones were westerns, ww1, ww2, Norwegian, Star Wars), and this started with me wanting to watch more classic movies (mostly new from that period, but also rewatches). List was a 1000 movies, now 1800, will probably go to 2000. Started with the 1920s, and I’m now finishing 2004. Still got 700 movies (of the 1800) to go.

When I finish, I will be done with this project. Will not stop watching movies. If there is no other project, I will just watch whatever I think of at that time. Of course I’m just doing it for fun, but I’ve enjoyed watching them more or less chronologically (although I’ve added classic movies here and there after finishing those years, and went back to watch them out of order.)

I was a little underwhelmed by Everything Everywhere All At Once. The third act definitely packs an emotional punch, but several times I found myself wondering why a movie with these many grand ideas chose to execute them in some of the plainest ways possible, often feeling tame, tentative, and lacking any kind of grit. Action scenes were especially lacking, as well as the dialogue. Lots to enjoy about it, though, especially the performance by the daughter. Someone give that kid an Oscar, she was incredible. I gave it a 7/10, but if I had left halfway through it would've been closer to a 3, that first hour was rough
