It's Macklemore. Michael Wansley (Aka Wanz) is my daughter's good friend's dad. :)

We love this song too. My favorite ear worm lately. And he's finally getting recognition. They were on Fallon a month or so ago and I think they were supposed to be on David Letterman last night or tonight.

He's got a lot of good stuff out there. I like the official Thrift Store video, too, because they look like they are having so much fun and I recognize the places. It's nice to see when hard work pays off.

Yeah, I like this guy. I really like the song he wrote with Mary Lambert too.

I just saw an ad for a Macklemore concert in a couple weeks at a casino in Puyallup. It has 1,800 seating capacity. And it’s in Puyallup.

And it’s a casino.

Has this guy’s star fallen that much? Less than 5 years ago he played two consecutive nights at Key Arena.

Yikes.

And it’s a casino. Pretty fast though. I saw Better This Ezra at a casino a few years ago, but I guess that was like 2 decades after their hit.

Makes sense really.

I saw him for free like 4 years ago

I'm ashamed to admit I liked the chorus hook from 'Thrift Shop' the first few times I heard it. Dude is obviously gigacringe though.

'thrift shop' is the only song i can thing of from this guy right now. its a great song, but i don't think anything he did after was interesting. i remember hearing another musician from seattle talking about how macklemore can walk around town and no one gives a shit lol.
