i booked a camping reservation nearby over that weekend, so i am definitely going now. just have to get tix, which i don't think will be a problem. at worst i am confident i can get lawns day of.

i'll echo what most people think about come tomorrow, it's kinda half baked. putting old songs on an album reminded me of radiohead putting out 'true love waits' on an album 20something years after it was written and played live. 'that girl is you' and 'do you remember' are fine. 'she' is interesting and the chorus is great. its by far my least favorite album.

when i heard 'two step' live in november it made me think of a buddy of mine who passed probably 12 years ago. he loved that song, and we share the same birthday, so i still write the lyrics to the song on his facebook every year. another friend from that same group of people, and someone i grieved with 12 years ago, just died a couple of days ago. the guy was always the life of the party and just super friendly to everyone. if you have time, listen to 'two step' and think of your loved ones.

Really feel Buddy is a detriment to the song now and Boyd did add nice touches way-back when. Dave's choice in guitar is sometimes baffling as well.

Only select dates, mostly destination weekends.

…and Covid hit the household so I’m out for this show next week. Let’s hope next summer.

Yeah definitely a bummer. Case in the house is mild thus far but we obviously can’t expose others so home we stay! But I hope Dave sees the light of playing Bartender even more - definitely in my top 5 songs of theirs.

Of all songs that should never fall out of rotation, Bartender is one of them but alas

Yeah, he was holding an electric guitar and I handed him an acoustic and said “this one please.” Shows will be totally different from here on.

  hope you and the house don't get it too bad. if for any reason you are in camden july 15-16 i will buy you a ticket to the show.

i'm really interested to hear the show w/o tim. it looks like the preservation hall jazz band sat in during a good amount of the show.

why does dave matthews think 'you might die trying' is a good closer? its a good song, but by far the worst song they close with.
