I spoke to a friend who's never listened to Pearl Jam. We didn't talk about Pearl Jam, but we made plans to go to the zoo.

No? Because you don't care about it or are you just gonna download it from somewhere
At the moment what I've heard isn't enough to compel me pay full price for it. It feels weird being in this place with this band for the first time ever. Backspacer was probably the first blind purchase that I probably look back and wouldn't have got multiple copies based on the music alone. I'll no doubt stream LB on Spotify a few times but it's more a case now of buying this at some point so I don't have a gap in the collection rather than because I'm really into the music.
I hope when you stream it you like what you hear enough to buy it
I'll buy a copy at some point. There's just so much other music coming out now and in the next few months that I'd rather own a physical copy of first :-) It's not like 10C won't have LB on sale at some point.

A friend of mine really likes Sirens and thinks it's a welcome change in style for the band. He especially likes Eddie's vocals.

Did you kill him to death by repeatedly playing Sirens?

That's awesome 8-)

I ran a 12-person relay this weekend, shared a van with 5 other ppl. Long story short, we had the Lithium station from Sirius on the whole time and Sirens came on during the drive to the start line. Everyone had nothing but praise for the song, and one guy who's a regular PJ fan like me said he was touched when he first heard it a few weeks ago--he grew up listening to PJ in the Marine Corps. Another person who's more a casual fan said it sounded like "90s Eddie." I just had a fat smile on my face. Looking forward to hearing the whole thing this week.

Are you a lucky man, to count on both hands the ones you've killed?

I'm usually thinking about getting to the reptile house the entire time.

In Africa we ride elephants, keep lions as pets and eat everything else.

The last time I visited the zoo a big blue bird did a mating dance towards me. I seem to be pretty attractive for birds.
