Re: Congress
If we were to take him at his word (which we should not because he’s a politician), you gotta respect Manchin for basing his decision on representing his WV constituents and not blindly following his colleagues from places like California. It’s almost as if this is how it’s supposed to work?

So we should believe him because of his constituents or because he owns a fucking coal company?Bammer wrote:If we were to take him at his word (which we should not because he’s a politician), you gotta respect Manchin for basing his decision on representing his WV constituents and not blindly following his colleagues from places like California. Re: Congress
I wonder how last January 6 would have played it if there was no riot.
It’s amazing how differently that day is viewed depending on one’s politics.

You simply cannot convince me that Americans will never find common national ground. Every single one of us enjoys Ted Cruz’s endless public cucking.

So we’re at that point in the revolution where the revolt is eating their own?

Re: Congress
It seems pretty likely that Dems lose control of both chambers. Of course it's not guaranteed, but certainly likely.
That said, are both parties trying to not be in power? Ds are splintering (Moderates vs. Progressives) and Rs seem to be too (Trumpers & everyone else).
Should be a frustrating run up to November.

If the gun thing goes through that means the only Senator with their name on the two biggest pieces of legislation so far in Biden's presidency is this person:

"The fatal flaw of all revolutionaries is that they know how to tear things down but don't have a f**king clue about how to build anything."
