One time at the zoo, I watched a young bird fall off the "roof" of a monkey cage, into the enclosure itself. The monkey wandered over to the struggling bird, picked it up in its hand, held it to its face, playfully wondering what was wrong with it, and then proceeded to strike the bird against a rock several times in a row until it was dead.

It was a disturbing mixture of playful curiosity and bloodthirsty bloody bloodlust. Very human, I felt at the time.

I thought this story was going to have a heart warming ending where the monkey saves the bird, and they became best friends. I didn't like the twist at the end. You started with Disney Pixar movie, and ended it like M. Night Shyamalan.

That's exactly how I felt at the time. I was like "Aaawww, look at th... what the actual fuck? What's he doing, make it stop."

And this is why I'll go to bed now to dream of that happy ending. :shake: Gute Nacht, Rote Mücke, treibt keinen Schabernack.
