Re: NBA Thread
If I could post a picture from mobile I'd post the before and after of Caleb Swanigan in the year after he was out of the league. Dude got extremely fat and died of "natural causes" yesterday. Sad.

Jesus Christ you can be insufferable. You have absolutely no idea what was going on in his life. Do you ever have a thought before saying something along the lines of “maybe I shouldn’t say this?”

Re: NBA Thread
I don't understand what was so offensive about the post. Dude was out of league and blew up hundreds of pounds within a year. Seems almost impossible to do that.Peeps wrote:Jesus Christ you can be insufferable. You have absolutely no idea what was going on in his life. Re: NBA Thread
your love affair with judging people by their weight is old and tiring
the fact that you put quotes around natural causes and given your past in fat shaming implies that you think he didnt die of natural causes.
dude could have went into a deep depression and used food as a coping mechanism or any one of a number of other reasons.
does it physically pain you to be nice?

Re: NBA Thread
The GOAT debate will go on forever but what really bothers me is when LeBron comes up in the graphic they have him wearing a Lakers jersey. Put the man in a Cavs jerseys for chrissake.

Swanigan died because he put on hundreds of pounds in a very short period of time. Are we not allowed to say that out loud or something?

Re: NBA Thread
Basketball reference has started putting WNBA players on the home screen thumbnails. I'll never guess all 12 right with nobodies from the WNBA on there. I submitted a complaint as "Johnny Dawkins" complaining. Hope they take it seriously.

I mean yeah … an elite athlete becoming extremely obese in a short amount of time and dying at 25 doesn’t exactly sound natural.verb_to_trust wrote:Swanigan died because he put on hundreds of pounds in a very short period of time. Are we not allowed to say that out loud or something?

The Rockets would rather pay him to stay away than have him play. Maybe because they'd rather give his minutes to young guys and let them develop or maybe because they think they'd win a few more games if he played and they're tanking for a couple seasons.Bammer wrote:Why doesn’t he playMonkey_Driven wrote:He gets paid a lot of money to not play.Bammer wrote:Can someone summarize the John Wall situation for me?

Yeah but where's the chaos I'm getting bored. Also, I'll need the chaos to cease while I'm playing disc golf from about 6-7:30 this evening, kthx.Monkey_Driven wrote:Chaos Day

I'd also be interested in the Heat trading for Collins, though I don't think Miami's trade assets fit what Atlanta needs.Coach wrote:Just clicked on Woj's Twitter and nothing too crazy but I am rooting for it tonight.
