Well, always next year. I missed some gigs due to responsibilities as well, no (human) kids but even the four legged folk require coverage.

SBD stream of Panic's show in Boise is on the Mixlr app.
or you can go to http://www.panicstream.com and hear them from that page. They have been streaming their live show in soundboard quality for the Spring and Summer tour.
They sound great tonight.their 25th Anniversiary
I don't have the energy to add to this discussion, but I will start by saying, what I loved about Pearl Jam, them caring about the music first and putting the fans in the forefront of their musical loves, well Widespread Panic is living up to 100 shows a year, every year. They just had their 25th Anniversiary.

Have you guys ever listened to the Analyze Phish podcast? Harris Wittles tries to convince Scott Aukerman to like Phish and fails miserably.

I'd much rather be at the Beacon than the Garden on NYE.

It’s Summertime! Let’s Talk About Jam Bands!
I don’t think there is a global thread for this, and I get it’s a niche, especially here. It’s summer, so that usually means I start getting back into Grateful Dead, Phish, etc.
To start, yesterday Goose released Dripfield, which is a pretty excellent album.
