Re: Talk about your day thread
Stressful day today.
My whole family have been on vacation in South Carolina for the past 10 days. 2 days ago my Mom came down with what we thought was food poisoning.
As it wasn't improving my dad took her to the ER where they diagnosed her with a twisted bowel which required immediate surgery.
She's out of surgery now, but will have to remain in the hospital for 5 more days for observation.
Everyone but my Dad and I left this morning and I'll be flying home tomorrow evening.
Just waiting now until we can go back and see her.

Thanks guys. I've just been back to see her and she's doing as well as you'd expect.
I have no clue what causes something like this. I just hope it never happens to me.

I know with dogs it can happen if they've just eaten and then go for a run. I'm guessing it'd be similar for people, so possibly eating then exercise?tragabigzanda wrote:How does a twisted bowel even happen?
Hope she improves quickly

Re: Talk about your day thread
So yesterday after church took my daughters to a store to get some craft stuff. I was standing outside the store with them while my wife ran back to the car to get something. I was literally doing nothing, and my knee gave out on me again. Haven't been able to walk on that leg since yesterday morning, got minimal sleep cause of the pain, so off to A&E this morning to see what the damage is
