Given how prepared and badass Beru was to defend the home base... what are the odds that we'll get a new story soon that details how they didn't actually die at the hand of those storm troopers in ANH but fought them, killed them, and escaped? Maybe those charred bodies are the storm troopers bodies and they got away in their outfits. Something like that.

Obi Wan knew that Luke was too much of a pansy to go off-world with him, and he also knew that Owen wouldn't allow it. So he killed Owen and Beru and staged it so it looked like the Empire did it so Luke would go with him.
