It signals a change in strategy from "Jan. 6th was super serious guys please believe me" to simple humiliation. But this is an old tactic that didn't work the other hundred thousand times they tried it, so I doubt it would work now, but it's all they have.

Hah. I’ve lived in New England my whole life, in CT. There’s some funny accents out east in the Providence/Boston/Eastern areas. Same with where Trump is from in NYC. It’s such a weird thing. Does all of CT and most of Mass not have an accent, or do people with accents hear one in us? I don’t get it.

What? Those aren't line-read bloopers, he is refusing to say specific things that were pre-written for him to say and editing the message in real time. It reveals his true feelings on the capitol riot in a moment where he was being filmed with his guard down and under the assumption that nobody would be seeing it.

Most people aren't learning anything they didn't already know, and most Trumpers heads are so far up their asses, they will never change. So in that reagrd, it's indeed pointless.

And yes, it's a slow-paced and boring watch, but it's good to have a consise and factual timeline of what that shitbag did permenantly on record in broadcast form and for future reference, even if the Trump cult selectively ignores it.

Whether or not he goes to prison is another matter entirely, as he should have been there decades ago anyway, so it's too little too late to say the least.

I'm no fan of this man, but after watching last night, it seems more like he was pleasantly surprised by what was developing on Jan. 6 and he didn't want to change the vibe vs. he had some kind of plan in mind - the guy was winging it like he always does.

I just don't think the committee has any kind of legal smoking gun here that's gonna move the needle.
