 This makes no sense unless they add Stanford and Cal as well to cut down the brutal travel.

Annnnnnd …. Here we go.

4 mega divisions of 16 teams each, two 8-team sides within them.

The top team out of each group of 8 is the playoff berth - against the other one in the other half of their division.

Playoffs.

There's going to be too many teams to make that work now. B1G, SEC, and ACC (counting Notre Dame) would all be there now, but this would leave 10 teams in the PAC, with the Big 12 once again becoming numerically accurate. Either you're kicking 6 teams out, or you need to add 10 more to get 5 conferences of 16.

Boy, what'd Vandy ever do to you? You want to keep Wazzu in so that UW can keep kicking them around?

And maybe that's who's next. Washington and Oregon should also be getting their asses in gear just in case.

Wow, that was as surprise when I saw it on a headline crawl this morning.
It’s a game changer. The travel will be brutal, football is king and all that matters with mens basketball a distant but what about the lesser programs?
