Avocado is a strange beast. I never listen to it, but I never skip those songs when listening to boots and enjoy them live. Riot Act songs, not so much.
I'm off PJ until the first Worcester show. Hoping to make it sound as fresh as possible in spite of the incessant marketing on XM.

For me this no leak club participation is equal to being six months without coffee or beer. Can anyone relate? Any smokers out there? How does it compare to a week without a cig? I'm probably more susceptible now to a smoking habit than I've ever been.

so this week we will be tested folks..
just a reminder that we've lasted this long, so don't give in to temptation.
I myself will be losing my membership on Saturday when I see them in buffalo, but I don't intend to listen aside from that..

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how many of the new songs show up in the couple of shows before the album's officially out in the U.S.VinylGuy wrote:Cool! i love checking setlists....I been following every tour this way since, i think, 1999.EJ wrote:This Friday, 10/11, in Pittsburgh.VinylGuy wrote:When is the tour starting?Tass Man wrote:so this week we will be tested folks..

Sounds about right. Would also guess Getaway will be played. I haven't heard it - just basing it on descriptions I've read and the positive feedback.VinylGuy wrote:Im guessing LB, FD, MYM and Sirens....the live debut of sirens.EJ wrote:Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how many of the new songs show up in the couple of shows before the album's officially out in the U.S.VinylGuy wrote:Cool! i love checking setlists....I been following every tour this way since, i think, 1999.EJ wrote:This Friday, 10/11, in Pittsburgh.VinylGuy wrote:When is the tour starting?Tass Man wrote:so this week we will be tested folks..

Hearing them live won't cost you your membership.Tass Man wrote:so this week we will be tested folks..

ya i know i'm not listening to a leak, but i still wish my first experience was with the studio album... i guess beggers can't be choosers... or something like that.
also, i don't see them holding back on new songs for the first few shows... i mean, it's the Lightning Bolt tour. I could see, maybe, if the tour started a month before the album was released, but we're talking 3 days... i fully expect them to incorporate the new songs from the first show

Re: No Leak Club
I'm sure they'll play 4-6 new songs live. But it could be cool hearing them live for the first time (assuming they're good). I was at Wrigley, and hearing Lightning Bolt for the first time live was pretty cool. Future Days not so much. If they're good songs and they nail them, it could end up being a pretty awesome way to hear them for the first time.Tass Man wrote:thanks!Lament wrote:Hearing them live won't cost you your membership.Tass Man wrote:so this week we will be tested folks..
