Okay. And in that case you wouldn’t apply the “unless you’re watching to learn how to play poker” take?
no because this works.. even if it were an unintentional error.. because people misspeak sometimes.. and cirk doesn't know any better and doesn't care anyway

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Thats very much inconsistent with your argument then. It has nothing to do with misspeaking. It’s a gaffe, plain and simple. It’s not the most relevant thing in the movie obviously, but it doesn’t make it irrelevant.

you brought it up like it's one of the two things you disliked about the movie when it's something nobody cares about whatsoever except you

Poker aficionados care. And if you don’t really care why did you challenge me on it?

also while playing blackjack he doubles down on a 9 and the dealer had a 10 early in the movie when card counters are supposed to be careful, by-the-book players.. again I don't care because cards ultimately are not what the movie is about

Just saw this and it's outstanding! I goddamn loved every minute of it. Seriously, this is the best film I've seen so far this year.

Thank you again, Jorge, for the heads up.
I enjoyed it, as well, though perhaps not as much as you guys. Don't get me wrong, I liked it. My only real complaint is that the final shot was not four hours long
