The genuine "I drew a little map for you" was legitimately a series highlight for me.

Lalo was a fantastic character. Laughing until the end.

His prequel series would be fun.

We had to watch it again. You can see by the flash of the barrels that both shot several rounds.

That’s wrong. I think you might have misinterpreted Gus continually pulling the trigger after the gun is empty; he was in shock because of the adrenaline from the confrontation and he was just shot

Why would he be carrying around an empty gun?

They shot at each other in the dark, Gus got lucky.

Did we ever see Gus load the gun, or anyone check Lalo's pulse?

When I first watched I thought the same thing; Gus had no ammo. It was weird. I played it back and saw his shots, then the dry fires from being freaked out.

Lalo didn't plan on either of them succeeding. This was all a distraction so he could break into the laundry.
Oh, I don't think Lalo wanted/expected them to succeed. The first two questions are only from Jimmy's perspective. Lalo got exactly what he wanted... which is why I wonder about my last question.

Which reminds me of another question:

Why didn't Mike just stage Gustavo getting shot for a photograph and send her back to Lalo?
Do we have to spoiler things for now?
No spoiler tags necessary. Stay out of the thread til you’re ready. That’s what I did.

Lalo’s primary objective was to get evidence of the lab and take it back to Don Eladio. Gus would be dead man walking at that point.

That Gus showed up at the laundry was a bonus to him.
