No better time to walk in this part of Texas than mid-march. Temps are in the 60s and 70s, humidity ain't a thing yet, and all the citrus trees are starting to fruit. Trying to be outside as much as I can.

Re: the walking thread
i've slowly but surely brought myself back from the walking dead. from walking 11-13 mins (almost) every hour in the house to taking the dog on walks in the neighborhood...just about two miles, i've been gaining some ground.
going to try to get back to the early waking walks in the neighborhood, likely bringing the dog along.
I've also started eating (mostly) whole food plant-based, and i've cut out foods with added sugars. it's only been a few weeks, but i have noticed a difference in my energy levels throughout the day.
i hope this all sticks, and i get back to the longer walks i was doing last summer and into the fall.

Proud of you. How are you walking that much each hour around the house with work duties?

Walked three miles yesterday. May walk again if I decide not to run today. My legs still don’t feel very fresh.

thanks, lenny.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Proud of you. How are you walking that much each hour around the house with work duties?
i just do it. we use Teams, and every few laps I'll check to see if anyone has emailed or chatted me about something. a lot of what i do is taken care of at the start of the day. the rest is communication.
i leave plenty of time to work things.

Gotcha. I could probably do something similar, but maybe just 5 minutes. I also need to do a makeshift standing desk more also.dad wrote:thanks, lenny.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Proud of you. How are you walking that much each hour around the house with work duties?

Nice work old man. And just so you know I'm taking partial credit since I was preaching about walking the other day. I hope that doesn't diminish your accomplishment!lennytheweedwhacker wrote:3.45 miles.
