I’m afraid not. I was the judge in that contest, and Zorii won.

She’ll have her own series on Disney after Boba, then probably Phasma. Cool looking characters with no lines seem to be popular

Think Star Wars has been amazing with their expanded on screen universe so far, Marvel though. Ugh.

Also that Star Wars has always been just stupid fun. Don’t take it too seriously (retconning etc).tragabigzanda wrote:I seem to have lucked out and scrolled right to the meat of the topic: “We’re all eating Star Wars lore burritos [yes he used this term -Trag] because streaming wars. Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I listened to a couple of podcasts recently that each circled this general idea, which I think has a merit. Basically, that pulp and absurdity has always been part of the Star Wars fabric but modern audiences prefer "gritty" to "pulpy." People (the general fanbase) adore Rogue One because it's more grounded and real and gritty and dark. They hate Rise of Skywalker because it goes full pulp without apology.
Again, there's more nuance to it, but that's the boiled down gist of the argument, and I think that's pretty on the money.

Rise is pure Saturday morning Flash Gordon serial adventure pulp. Shamelessly.
Whether it’s effective at it and if that’s fitting as a wrap up to the saga is questionable.
