Re: TV: Better Call Saul
This is what I was questioning before:He realizes Lalo was creating a distraction and now is probably at the laundry so he goes there himself.
Am I forgetting how Mike & Gus are aware of Lalo knowing about the laundry?
I know we as the audience know Lalo knows about it, I would think Gus's first instict would be his chicken biz.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
Mike puts it together when he asks Jimmy how long Lalo has been gone. He knew when Kim arrived at Gus’s and put it together the laundry was within that radius.elliseamos wrote:This is what I was questioning before:He realizes Lalo was creating a distraction and now is probably at the laundry so he goes there himself.

When Gus put on the sham chicken freezer to try and throw Lalo/Bolsa off the lab trail, Lalo mentions how the south wall was gonna be great. Gus knew that Lalo was looking for the lab.

All my guesses for how they would handle that were completely wrong, and I really loved how they did it. A beautiful episode. Maybe favorite of the season so far

With context, that may be the best episode of the series.Jorge wrote:All my guesses for how they would handle that were completely wrong, and I really loved how they did it. A beautiful episode. Maybe favorite of the season so far

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
I think there’s a version of that episode they could’ve done with absolutely no dialogue and would lose nothing. Nothing more was needed than the visual performances by every single actor.
I suspect we’re going fully to present day from here on out. That final shot of Saul at his desk seems like a clear signal the pre-BB phase of the story is complete.
Lone caveat is that Walt and Jesse are still due for an appearance but I could easily see that being a blink and you’ll miss it news story on a TV in present day.

The disconnect between BCS Jimmy and BB Saul doesn't feel as irreconcilable to me anymore. All thanks to one really clever cut and the realization that it wasn't an act like many of us thought it was

I'm guessing the scenes at his new house means it's a year or so later and the Sandpiper money came in.
