C vs F conversation is super dumb. You're gonna prefer the point of reference you grew up with. That's basically it.

Better than I remember.

Can’t remember if I saw it on dvd or on a free stream, but this HD version makes me focus fully on the story. Very interesting about union soldiers losing their claims while away fighting in the war. Do wonder if that really happened. Glenn Ford does well as the judge.

I think Ford slowly going crazy, which is s major part of the story, actually detracts from the film. Was plenty of meat here without it.
