would be happy with Lloyd too.elliseamos wrote:I like what I've seen/read of Lloyd. Some combo of these 3:
Devante Parker
Nelson Agahlor
Kendrick Bourne
Jacobi Meyers
To go with one of Hunter Henry or Jonnu Smith.
And if they're truly going no FB, I'd say Mac better have the play action handle ready.
Draft will probably be o-line & defense. I suspect an early corner and then every linebacker available.

Re: New England Patriots
Parker will play really great for a couple games each season. He's just not a reliable target because yes, he can't separate, and he has frequent injury issues (I'm willing to bet the cold weather does him no favors in this regard). He's pretty good at the 50/50 balls but that's nothing to build your offense around.

Re: New England Patriots
are you guys reading these accounts from training camp that the offense is struggling (I guess in like epic proportions)
they read the plays on the radio and it was all run stuffs, sacks, throwaways. pats defense can't be that good.

I guess they're switching to the Shanahan/Kubiak/McVey offense so nobody knows what they're doing.Coach wrote:are you guys reading these accounts from training camp that the offense is struggling (I guess in like epic proportions)

I see it as saving Mac from criticism because it will all be directed at Bill for putting Patricia and Judge in charge.
I see putting Patricia and Judge in charge as a way to build in an excuse for Bill to "Suck for Mazi" Smith.

Re: New England Patriots
They are def going to finish under .500 this year. The coaching situation is ridiculous. I guess Belichick called offensive plays during the 2 min drill at practice against Carolina. But in the first game, the Patricia and Judge combo took turns calling plays?elliseamos wrote:I guess they're switching to the Shanahan/Kubiak/McVey offense so nobody knows what they're doing.Coach wrote:are you guys reading these accounts from training camp that the offense is struggling (I guess in like epic proportions)

Re: New England Patriots
I'm basing this off more than one game:
1. Consistently bad practices during the summer where they couldn't move the ball on offense. Players and the media both confirmed this. In fact, players on opposing teams that practiced against the Pats confirmed this.
2. Lackluster preseason games that consistently displayed the same miscues.
3. QB - Brady is still a better option than Mac Jones. Big mistake not to keep him.
4. Lack of clarity re: coaching responsibilities. Bourne confirmed this and was pretty much benched for it. Players are now openly squawking for him to return to the field.
I hold out hope that I am wrong here, but everything points to a .500 season. The weaknesses on offense were on full display yesterday. They are consistently average w/ a coach/GM who has clearly lost his fastball or, worse, has just become more stubborn with age.
Of course, after all the success and the six Super Bowls, there was going to be a period of downtime, which we all accept. Unfortunately, I see them taking steps backward which is ultimately the biggest disappointment.

I think the Dolpins D might actually be good.
And Tua might be worse than he looked yesterday.
Which means the O will improve, but the D will give up more than 13 points and the result will be the same.

If Tua's worse than he played yesterday Miami is in heap big trouble.elliseamos wrote:I think the Dolpins D might actually be good.

Re: New England Patriots
He's better. Offensive line did him no favors, but his decision making will improve with the help of coach McDaniel. And if he's not any good after all, this is the year we find out and the rest of the team will still be great next year for a new QB.
