Brian Eno

Post by Hypnos »

One of the most influential and versatile artist in the music business, much more than what people give him credit for. A real genius.

Here's a great performance from the Roxy Music days.

I don't throw the genius tag around lightly, but this dude is definitely one that I apply it to. And not just in terms of music. He's kind of a genius all around.

This cover is one of my favorite little obscure things he's done. The style and tempo makes it feel like something expunged from Apollo.

Bath time with my boy gets Brian Eno instrumental albums on the speaker. It's made a big impact on how easily he gets ready for bedtime and it also helps me wind down from that killer witching hour toddlers get into shortly before bedtime routine.

When I'm at work and can't bath him, my wife has to do it and hates it. After his usual bath time the other night, she sent me a screenshot of the recent Brian and Roger album she played for him. She has no idea who Brian Eno is but has caught on that it's all I play during his bath. I smiled a big smile.
