Yeah but it's been a pretty gruelling one-man show. I feel like I'll need an ensemble for the next album.Lament wrote:"In a word, man must create his own essence: it is in throwing himself into the world, suffering there, struggling there, that he gradually defines himself," -Jean-Paul Sartreharmless wrote:Happy to oblige.Lament wrote:This may be the only post we need to save when we commemorate the Lightning Bolt era. When I pick chud up at the airport in Charlotte later this month, I'm going to be sure to have this song playing when he gets into my car.

You have become a target out of fear. Your transformation has given us a path to enlightenment. Some are frightened by that. I can see how a sudden renewed interest, to the extent that I've experienced it, might be confusing and somewhat difficult to accept in the RM culture. I will try to rein it in, calm it down, wind my neck in etc.Lament wrote:You have become a target out of fear. Your transformation has given us a path to enlightenment. Some are frightened by that. I didn't listen to if for a week, went back to it, and I still like it. I'm not sure if this will ever be top tier for me, but after a few weeks, it's a tune I'm enjoying listening to.

It's so full of crazily different styles, it might end up working. I haven't decided yet.solace wrote:a few of them go together some, but you're right... that's sorta been PJ's MO post '00 hasn't it? guess i shouldn't be too surprised at this point.harmless wrote:They all dosolace wrote:sticks out even more like a sore thumb on album than i imagined it would

i tend to prefer albums that flow well and sound like they're from the same sessions, but sometimes "jukebox" albums work too.

I definitely don't hate it, even if its eclecticness raises a smirk every now and then. It's what I always said they should do if they wanted to work with BoB. Do a crazy bunch of genre experiments, "something for everyone".dimejinky99 wrote:harmless wrote:It's so full of crazily different styles, it might end up working.
