Wow. I got it to work and had a listen before I pick up my little guy...lots to digest there. The singles/leaks definitely didn't reveal all of this record's secrets...

The Infallible chorus sounds... Incubus-ish.

Well, that was interesting. Look forward to revisiting this when it's out. "My Father's Son", "Pendulum" and "Swallowed Whole" are pretty cool.

I'm halfway through Sirens and I'm blown away so far. Sound quality is so much better than the leaked stuff we had. It'll sound even better on CD.

Jeff's bass is what's standing out most so far :luv:

My Father's Son....all I can say is WHAT THE FUCK?! I mean that in a very good way. Totally not what I was expecting.

This album is immediately better than Backspacer.

A logical return to form.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

I refuse to download itunes so I haven't heard it yet, but I'm pissed off that the dog thread is locked.

After one listen, if I had to pick the 3 most intriguing tunes:

MFS
Pendulum
Infallible

Yellow Moon has me feeling a similar vibe to Footsteps. I say this after a hurried listen and without knowing the lyrics.

There was a big PJ banner ad on the front page of the UK version.

I think this is the most mixed dice bunch of songs they've ever put out. I'm struggling to find an identity. I'm also regretting the fact that I'd heard half of this already, quite possibly the best half when taking into account Future Days (which I dislike) and SBM.

You can just get rid of FD, knowing this album was originally meant to be 11 tracks.

I don't mind FD at all, but wow, two thirds through it becomes too big. And I really don't see the point of *ending* the guitar part, leaving a gap, and then the piano starting... I thought that was stupid at Wrigley. People had started clapping and then BoB...
