Re: The Old Man (Hulu/FX)
Should’ve capped this as a complete, 10-episode limited series. I fear this is going to turn into 24 or bad era Homeland next season.
Ultimately, there was more good than bad but the balance of the season didn’t live up to the promise of those first three episodes.
Also, the reveal wasn’t a reveal at all to me because I thought that they had set her up as his daughter the whole time. I clearly wasn’t paying close enough attention earlier this season.

just finished ep3 and im so glad Amy Brennerman is on this series. She is always compelling, but she is giving so much dept to her character with so little.

Re: The Old Man (Hulu/FX)
it's definitely no The Bear or Severance, but we're into it so far. only two episodes in.
we were just on the phone with my FiL, and recommended as this type of show is his thing.

Re: The Old Man (Hulu/FX)
i never watched 24, and only one season of Homeland. not that those shows are anything like this one, though i'm sure you could find similarities.
at first, this story seemed to be about blowback but quickly turned into my three dads.
this thing could've been limited to one season.
i'd be interested to see how the book ends though.

Re: The Old Man (Hulu/FX)
why do i feel like this whole thing will end up being a figment of Dan Chase's imagination?

Re: The Old Man (Hulu/FX)
i like this season enough. Yeah, the first episodes were the best ones of the bunch, but still it was compelling enough.
The cast was good even if the writing wasnt sometimes.
