Got up at 4am, flew to Tenerife, had an extremely active day, including going to the beach, the pool, and out to dinner, and all with my wife and our two year old. Now the child is sleeping, it’s closing in on midnight, we just got in, and we’ve got another big day tomorrow. Yet, here I am in this thread. I have hooked up our reserve/travel Apple TV in our hotel apartment, and we’re finally relaxing. Just started The Darjeeling Limited.

are you going to see airplane?
I could download it to my ipad, see it on the six hour flight. But don’t plan to. Saw it not too long ago.
i was hoping someone here would get my joke or let me know if it was really bad

I usually answer these kind of questions straight, even if the user meant it light hearted.

As a joke, it didn’t really work for me. Sorry.

I thought so too. Some excellent action sequences. Chris Evans plays a super convincing sociopathic douche. Billy Bob was great as usual.

You're thinking of the new Tom Hanks Pinocchio movie.

There was an interview with Mike Judge in the NYT this past Sunday where he said that they are actually planning this.

Not Okay.

Very bad, dull, stupid movie that holds its audience beneath contempt

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
