Hosmer was supposed to get thrown in with the Soto to Padres deal, just to get that contract off the Pads' books. It looks like he's rejecting the trade (and, honestly, good for him), and the rest is going through without him. Maybe the Pads will still be able to send him to another team by COB

I’m not sure there’s a more incompetent front office in all of MLB than what the Detroit Tigers have with Al Avila. He even sounds like a halfwit when he talks. Good God. What a bungled trade deadline.
