Re: Talk about your day thread
drove back home today after spending the weekend in Kansas. some things that transpired...
- Friday night, we went to KCMO for one of my BiL's first-ever solo art show. it was at some distillery. the gin was very strong. my BiL sold some paintings. really thrilled for him.
- Saturday morning, i got a second-degree burn on my left hand, the upper part of my palm, and between the webbing of my middle and ring fingers. i tried to do too much at once, transporting a scalding, nearly full bowl of oatmeal, spilling it on my left hand in the process. i'm honestly surprised i didn't drop the bowl. the blisters are just now popping.
- Saturday night, we went to the Royals/Red Sox game, which ended in a walk-off HR for KC. the royals also homered to start the game, and i guess it's the first time since the 70s they bookended a game with home runs. pretty neat to be a part of.
- yesterday we hung out at my FiL's neighborhood pool, and in the evening met my wife's older brother for dinner.
it was our last dash effort at a fun weekend before the kids start school this week. good times had, even with the oatmeal debacle.
