Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Apparently there’s none of that at all. Mon mothma and krennic possibly. That’s it.
At least she is a series regular from what I can tell so that's not really a cameo. Seems like Krennic would be a cameo - he's kind of a no-name. I'm more talking about avoiding having someone like freaking Yoda show up.

How 'bout a weird and eerie Wedge?

Or a weird and eerie Biggs Darklighter that Andor happens upon while recruiting at Tosche Station on Tatooine with a weird and eerie AI Luke just starting at them. Tatooine and weird/eerie AI quota fulfilled in one go.

Review of the first four episodes
Spoiler: show
”Ive seen the first four and it’s the most serious, grounded thing Star Wars has ever done. It feels more like an English-made espionage thriller than Star Wars. It is totally unconcerned with giving you fan service moments, and instead wants to delve into what it’s like for the bit players in this universe to wake up every morning and go about their day. This is not space opera. It’s more space drama. It’s slow, deliberate, complex (for Star Wars) and asks the viewer to do some work. It actually humanizes roles that are traditionally cartoon evil in the SW universe. It’s attempting to tell a grown up story, and I think a lot of fans are going to haaaate it. Both Gilroy’s presence is all over this thing. It’s got that cinema verite vibe that the core Bourne movies had going for them. Puts you in the world like never before. Whether the world can hold up to that level of scrutiny is up for debate, but it is fascinating.”

This sounds like it’s gonna make a lot of RM people happy who have been let down by Star Wars the last few years. And it’s gonna piss off a lot of Star Wars fans.

I’m in.

I hope SW continues to explore both storytelling styles and more beyond that. Marvel is so homogenized. Why should SW be the same?
