Fuck it. I'll just start over. I'm good with that. Boss walked in right as Infallible started. Blah blah blah, meeting Wednesday, who gives a shit... Let me listen damnit.theplatypus wrote:Maybe you need to let it buffer a little? I dunno.hlniv wrote:No work for me. Tips? I am listening right through the itunes stream. I can only skip a few seconds ahead. If i pause or try to skip tracks, it just starts over with Getaway.LetMeSleep wrote:I've been jumping all over the place. And skipping tracks.hlniv wrote:Can you skip ahead on this stream? I had to pause, and it restarted... Can't figure out how to skip ahead. I guess maybe not, since it is a "stream" and all....

The Infallible chorus reminds me of Elton John. That said, I actually like it after a few repeats. I kinda expected the song to be darker.harmless wrote:Agreed on both statements.Strat wrote:Yellow Moon definitely sounded much better on second listen.
Im also getting over the chorus for INfallible. I wanted it to be something else but im getting used to it and it is now becoming a better song. I think the verse is still the magic in the song though...

Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
After first run though.
Getaway
Mind your manners
ok but the chorus lets it down for me
My fathers son
? I think, i disliked that bridge so gonna have to listen again. Not sure about eds singing in the first verse, but he sounds awesome later.
Sirens
fuck this song
Infallible
insanely dissapointed, fuck that chorus
Pendulum
love that ending, wish it was longer
Swallowed whole
eh its alright, can't see myself listening to it all that much
LTRP
fuck this song too
Yellow moon
I dunno wasn't what i was expecting. Really disliking the guitar wankery. But quite like other parts, think i liked the chorus.
Future Days
Bad song, not enough
in the world for o'brien and his fucking piano.
So maybe i can find a decent EP in there. Loads of shitty/weird bridges and choruses and cheesetastic vocal melodies. I guess thats mostly Eds fault, wtf has he been listening to? and quite a bit also
o'briens
fault.
Theres a chord at the start of yellow moon that reminds me of sirens, for the life of me i cant understand why LTRP and Sirens aren't swapped.

Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
Random thoughts:
MYF - Ed is pissed. He gives yellings a lot on this song.
Getaway - Pound-for-pound the best song on the record
Future Days - Much better on record - maybe it's the added depth.
Sirens - Still like this song a lot...maybe should be placed later in the record.
Sleeping by Myself - Version is not different enough to justify selling the same song twice on different record. Boo.
Infallible - dee dee dee dah dah dah boink boink??? Odd song

I ripped it, but have to split the tracks up and tag it.
I'll do that when I get off the bus.

Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
So the album finally leaked. Is that the reason why they made a temporal free streaming over iTunes?
I think it makes perfect sense.

I like Pendulum a lot, too. Way too short though and ends in an awkward way.
