Huh. That was definitely not "the hook" for me, but that's interestingtragabigzanda wrote:The hook for the viewers — established by the flash-forwards to NE — was that unlike Walt, Jimmy would eventually find the light side of the force, baking Cinnabons until events would collide in such a way that he would narrowly escaped the jaws of death (and possibly find true love).

Just want to point out we've seen Jimmy, Saul and Gene. However, isn't there a 4th persona or identity that's been shown that we haven't seen yet in BB or BCS? That being a goatee version that appears on the wanted poster. Maybe a flash forward is coming too.

The goatee guy is just Saul Goodman from when he was selling off his TV ad timeCopperTom wrote:Just want to point out we've seen Jimmy, Saul and Gene. I think I'll just wait to see how it plays out before getting upset or disappointed.

Why did you want to put Kim and Jesse Pinkman together for a scene?
I just love ’em both so much. It’s as simple as that. We try to tell these stories as organically as possible, and we do. But a scene like that is, I hate to admit it, just pleasurable to write, pleasurable to direct. It doesn’t really move the plot forward. In strict, organic storytelling terms, it’s not “necessary.” But it just was fun. And yeah, I love those two. I think we all wanted — I can’t remember who came up with the idea — that we wanted to see those two worlds collide. We couldn’t help ourselves.

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
He's obviously running when the episode ends, so he'll get his cash, new watches, and floor massager, and head for somewhere to hide. My guess is work. Jeff's mom doesn’t know about Cinnabon. He works his usual day, eventhough he was up late robbing Rusty's dad because he's Saul/Jimmy and can do that. Then, he'll shave his stach and head after swiping the security guards keys while delivering one last cinnamon roll, drive that car to Florida. Leaves an envelope of cash for Kim at her work with a fake Piper Shores return address. Trades the car and one of the watches for a boat and lives out his days in Cuba, where he helps export cigars to ATF agents in Albuquerque.

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
Jimmy calling vacuum repair again would be a shitty ending on paper. He couldn’t exist as Gene; even before he got noticed, the entire Gene arc was a man living a quiet life filled with anxiety over being found out.

Yeah, we saw what happens in the vacuum repair scenario. He would break bad again. Jimmy dies or Jimmy gets away or what happens to Jimmy isn't the important missing pieceMecca wrote:Jimmy calling vacuum repair again would be a shitty ending on paper. How will Jimmy find closure with Kim? That's what I'm interested in
