we liked it, we just didn't continue it..too much stuff on tv and you just forget about things and then become too lazy to revisit themlennytheweedwhacker wrote:You didn’t like The Wire either did you, Doug?

That part of advice always annoys me. Yeah, I'm just going to give over three, four, right hours of my life because supposedly it gets good eventually. No. Be good right away or be cast asidespike wrote:you gotta give a show at least 3-4 episodes.

About three episodes is my limit. I gave Outer Range about 6 episodes before I realized it was just mystery box bullshit. Never again.

Oh yeah, Sex and the City. After 4 episodes, we just couldn’t take anymore.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

I rarely have this experience with movies. Generally I think movies are worth finishing unless you're watching totally below the radar dreck, since it's always instructive to know why you hate a big expensive cultural object that you decided to start watching. But bad TV isn't worth the time.

Ever since watching Capone (2020) I no longer oppose abandoning films mid-watch.

I have never seen it. So naturally, I may change my point of view after doing so.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I watched the first 1.5 seasons of that one when my youngest was a newborn and it was fine, but I lost interest once he started sleeping more than an hour at a time.contamination wrote:Peaky Blinders
