Doing some catching up listening. Enjoyed this album (EP?). I got a bit weary of Khruangbin - they are better for the company here.Rangi Guy wrote:Been listening a fair bit to Texas Moon an EP by Khruangbin & Leon Bridges - Pretty good
Especially dig the last track on here - Mariella. Love the guitar tone

Re: Albums of 2022
I've never seen him live. I think he played near me back on the Childish Prodigy tour but I couldn't make it. He's a guy I've always enjoyed listening to but tend to forget about for long stretches, maybe as an inverse effect of him releasing so many albums. I loved all his early stuff but the last one I paid attention to was Smoke Rings for My Halo. This new one is making me think I should dig into the ones in between.dad wrote:it is. have you seen him out on tour or plan to? i saw him back in may. it was the third time i've seen him since "b'lieve i'm goin' down," and the best of the three shows.Mickey wrote:Man that Kurt Vile album is pretty great.

Re: Albums of 2022
can’t speak for Mickey, but Smoke Ring is an all-timer for sure.
I like the latest more than Bottle It In tho. The opening track is like KV trying on Randy Newman, but it works.
Mickey and Malloy, I will tell you I lost my damn mind when he covered Punks in the Beer Light this last time I saw him. It was like the third song of the set too.

Such a bop. A lot of people are upset about the new album being only 8 tracks. If they're all of this standard then who cares?psychobain wrote:
