think it's closer to The Insider than Parallax. those two and this are all five-stars in my book.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Gone Baby Gone is really good, but I think it loses some steam in the final third. Ending is a bit much.
Zodiac now, but my wife is going to work (and I’ll put my daughter to bed, which hopefully won’t take too much time). We’ll just watch the start now, and then finish it tomorrow.

I heard so many great things about Zodiac, so my expectations were sky high. It fell a little flat for me, but I'll try to rewatch it one day.

It helps to be in a deeply brooding, obsessive mood, with no expectations for any kind of satisfying plot resolutions. I enjoy it the same way I enjoy Kubrick movies. Very well crafted, but not very fun to watch.BurtReynolds wrote:I heard so many great things about Zodiac, so my expectations were sky high. Re: What movies are you watching?
I tried to watch Darjeeling Limited recently and it seemed really really bad to me. I couldn't finish it.

Darjeeling Limited being on the top of that list just hurts my feelings.
