Assuming my friend gets here on time I'll be seeing Burn After Reading at Alamo Drafthouse today. And we're thinking of making a double feature seeing They Live later. I've never seen They Live.

count how many times someone rips their own face off. There are exponentially more faces ripped-off in John Woo's Mission Impossible II than there are in John Woo's movie about ripping off faces, Face/Off.

It's not until MI3 that the series start taking the face mask thing seriously

got to say that four minutes into the movie, my inclination is that this movie has been criminally underrated by the board

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It's a little stilted but fun

Emmanuelle Béart woefully miscast
