I've always hated Arcade Fire, obviously a result of my advanced powers of perception.

Through Heller, Butler offered to put Pitchfork in contact with different women who had consensual sexual experiences with him in the past
A little weird lol

all those 'statements' sound like things that his (high-priced) attorneys came up with to make every encounter a 'consensual' and 'my word against his' type scenario (all much more difficult to prosecute)

when this many women come forward, this young, it as a minimum should kill his reputation where even if he doesn't get a bill cosby-style trial, hopefully no one will ever want to be caught seen with him again

all his music should be burned to the ground now

and he should be sold to the chinese to work in a field somewhere

i just finished the article. the statement from win is super fucked, especially this part:

"Most importantly, every single one of these interactions has been mutual and always between consenting adults. It is deeply revisionist, and frankly just wrong, for anyone to suggest otherwise."

calling someone else's experience of your manipulation "deeply revisionist" is deeply fucked.

my god yes, that's textbook gaslighting

I have looked back on experiences that I've realised were abusive, but I didn't have all the facts to realise it at the time; it doesn't make my abuser less than abusive

Is this why the brother left, leaving his big drum behind?

Let me tell you something. men are dirty, add the fame and alcohol factor and it gets worse. if all the vocalists of our favorite bands were checked, few would be left intact. sad, but true.

ignorance is bliss, but if I find out someone I've invested my time in for whatever reason is an abuser, I'll try to disinvest

I agree on your take on men, but I like to think they can be better
