As of this morning, I'm pretty sure I've developed dry socket in one tooth. I'm in fuckin' agony.

Kill me.
Called the doc this morning re: unbearable pain and foul taste in mouth. Dry socket likely in two locations, but treating all four just to be safe. This is gross so I’ll spoiler it.
Spoiler: show
im now regularly cleaning out the sockets with medicine via an elongated, curved syringe. Have to gingerly insert the thing all the way into the holes — I mean about 1/2”, which is pretty brutal — and flush everything out. Can see all the way into my gums. Horrific.

First round this morning was awful. I was shaking and sweating the whole time, my girls just rubbing my back and giving me moral support while they looked away.

Subsequent applications have been progressively easier. Pain has subsided considerably and putrid stench is going away. Just knocked out a fourth cleansing like a champ. Maybe a couple more days like this?

I will say, if you’re on the fence, just do it now. I couldn’t imagine dealing with this when I’m 50 or 60.
D*mn, bro.
