It has a cold natural look, unlike a lot of what you see in Hollywood. Yet, as the main character hardly changes at all, the people and the world around him changes in lightning speed. It starts small and almost claustrophobic, and ends expansive and chaotic. Thus with help of the lighting as well, everything feels more vast towards the end.
