The fact that they have Biden talking about cornpop--it's really incredible.

I can't help but feel like if that movie was going to be any good it wouldn't be on the Roku channel.

I haven't watched any trailers so I have no idea really. It just seems off for a movie to come out on that platform.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It looks exactly like his music: cute but obvious, and no way am I sticking around all the way to the end
I'm actually surprised by how much parody there is. That's probably a dumb thing to say but I thought it was gonna be more of a straight biopic with some weird jokes. But this is a full on send up of the genre. I like that about it. So I guess I'm more excited than I expected to be.
