Re: Official WWE/Pro Wrestling thread
Was some really entertaining wrestling this weekend.
The Acclaimed match was an unexpected highlight, also Danielson vs Jericho and Sheamus vs Gunther for great one on one matches, both the WWE and AEW world title matches, and the Trios Title match with the The Elite vs The Dark Order. Probably a couple of matches I’m forgetting. NXT show was ok as well.

Acclaimed vs Swerve In Our Glory was maybe one of the best tag matches AEW has had

Re: Official WWE/Pro Wrestling thread
This whole situation has completely blown the lid off the Young Bucks toxic habit of leaking to the sheets, and specifically Meltzer.
Dave is trying to help spread the story that they are the victim in this, but the Punk side of the story makes it sound like the Bucks basically fucked around and found out. Not to mention, the Bucks have a history of this kind of thing everywhere they’ve been. Basically what I’m saying is, don’t listen to anything Meltzer says about this and let it play out a little bit.

Tony cannot punish only one side of this, if he fires Punk, I think the Bucks at the very least should be stripped of their job titles and suspended.
I’m hoping the recent reports of them suspending everyone indefinitely and trying to cool this thing down without losing anyone are true, but if they aren’t, Punk is a much bigger draw than basically anyone else in the company.

I heard so much about them before AEW, but all I saw was two circus acrobats with a dated look and no charisma. I don't get it.numbers wrote:They are really good workers but they seem like total douchebags.BurtReynolds wrote:I can't stand the Bucks. They are so lame.

Anyway Vince could turn this feud into a moneymaker. Can Tony manage the same? We'll see.

Re: Official WWE/Pro Wrestling thread
I think the storytelling in some of their matches is among the best in wrestling today. Doesn’t mean I don’t recognize that they have massive personal issues with talent and management everywhere they go.BurtReynolds wrote:I heard so much about them before AEW, but all I saw was two circus acrobats with a dated look and no charisma. I think it’s telling how we got their side of the story from Meltzer immediately, where Punk brutally attacked them. Now after a couple days, details start to trickle out that they ambushed his locker room with a posse and kicked the door down. Of course Meltzer didn’t get those parts.

Re: Official WWE/Pro Wrestling thread
I mean, none of that happens if Punk handled his issue behind closed doors. He literally buried them for something that they may or may not have done (I forget who but the original person who floated the idea “maybe Punk had something to do with Colt no longer participating in AEW” was all speculative) and said if they had an issue to come find him and talk about it, so they did. I don’t know about you but Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa aren’t exactly threatening presences if you wanna call that a posse.
