Dad really loves Bernard Shaw, and so does Juanhamm, and now Bernard Shaw is dead. "These are difficult times for our heads," said Juanhamm to Dad. "Our favorite Bernard Shaw man has perspired." "He made his last contribution," I said, "and that is that. The sun is out, you have been yammering on and on about cheap vodka." "I have been yammering on and on about the geography of science." "Oh, you're sick." The Whos are sitting in a circle. There is singing. I am listening to the music.

It is a piano with lights in the keys.

It is very sad, but pleasant.

It is not an anguished and hushed music, but a dissonant one.

I have never been to a Whoville without music.

The trees are naked.

The moon is in a hut with a hole.

The moon shines down on a hill called "Bernard Shaw the departed"

Beautiful. A fitting tribute to a (presumably) great man.

Brandy Manhattan and Hank Aaron or Eddie Matthews for my pop. He was enamored with Rickie Weeks until he didn’t pan out as a superstar too.

He probably wasn't his favorite, but I thought it made a good post.

He played for the Sox for a year, my dad is also from California, but the real reason I associate him with my dad is because he used to sing "Tutti Frutti, JOE RUDI!" whenever that Little Richard song came on.

A lot of Cards and Cubs fans in Nebraska. Not as many Royals fans though.
