Elvis could have been a lot better. The start has a very chopped up and fairy tale feel. Did not like that. In the end I think the movie offered enough to be considered both a decent movie (three stars), and offered good entertainment. The second half was much stronger than the first half, and even seemed fairly believable as a true story at times.

I like Tom Hanks, but he was fairly poor in this. Austin Butler did a fine job, though he lacks some of the machismo Elvis had.

I watched half of War of the Worlds. Tom Cruise's character was a wiener.

edge of tomorrow is a great movie. not sure if performance stands out. id say the opposite holds for magnolia
