Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
so, after ripping this and cutting it apart, then uploading it to iTunes match, i was able to match half of the album and re-download 6 of the 12 songs as legit 256 Kbps iTunes .m4a files...
someone send me the gmail info and i'll throw it up there, or i can link it to someone and they can do it

getaway into mind your manners works well.
the bridge in my father's son should've been the song.
i still don't like sirens, but i get the appeal. nice groove for the ending.

Almost halfway there, listening straight through. Obviously I've heard most of what I've gotten through, but I just want to repeat that I'm very happy with this album. My Father's Son seems oddly placed on first listen though...would have worked as a second half track. Everything seems almost seamless through Lightning Bolt. That said, I liked MFS a lot on first listen even if I was caught way off guard...side 2 coming next!

Re: Lightning Bolt: The Official Album Thread
I really enjoyed it after 2 go arounds. I kinda heard the Christina Aguilera thing as well....but went and took a good listen to hers....and actually.....very, very little in common....that's the funny thing about music.
Pendulum is a great tune for sure. Actually...SBM really surprised me.....I hate the UKE version....this is very, very tolerable. Future Days seems to no longer suck either. Over time this album will grow on me for sure. Way too early for any kind of rank.
The only song I truly have trouble with at the moment is " Yellow Moon "......which could end up being a good thing down the road.

After a few listens I finally (and accidentally) made it through to the very end of Future Days.
FD has no business being on this album, and BoB has no business with that bullshit piano outro.
Seriously - surely there was a movie soundtrack they could have thrown this at instead??
