Thats fine but McP is thinking bigger...and how it would make the album a truly interesting adventure and listen...rather than just a half collection of songs/half adventure....
I understand that, but longer is not always better. Some songs invite you to linger in the space they create. SoH and Parting Ways are both examples of that--so is of the girl and even nothing as it seems. Rival fades out because whatever you're going to imagine is going to be more unsettling than anything you could get.

I feel like I don't say I love you to Binaural enough. It's my least favorite Pearl Jam album. But that's like saying I've had a least favorite orgasm.

It's great how Binaural has become akin to Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town period. Universally agreed upon as the most fertile era, if not the best album.

We can all create our "best Binaural" and that's pretty cool.

This is totally tangential, but can someone remind me... what recording session is Sunburn from? Is that also Binaural? Or was that No Code? Or what?

No Code

That's what I thought, but this conversation had me doubting.

I know we have a whole thread for this kinda thing, but Sunburn should totally have been on No Code.

Right. Non of that is official. Just cause they have a website doesnt mean its official. Imagine if B put shit on the homepage as official just because?

Clearly its Jack on drums so its between those certain years but who knows what studio sessions it was. And during tha tperiod - the creative period - where they wanted to make music together - they recorded a lot.

What if pearl jam had a bunch of albums recorded that they just have not released? Like Neil.

I know it's not official, but I always thought that site was too comprehensive to be completely bullshit.

Didn't she have a massive "public" meltdown and goodbye post too? Like pearljamnetwork and caryn?

Man, pearl jam fans take shit personally.

At least the folks at RM can handle their love and loss for the band with dignity.

Yeah, Bierman or someone told her to cease and desist the outside the door recording of The Fixer video shoot and she flipped out, vowing to never talk about PJ again, even though her blog is named after it. Pretty sure she stuck to it.
